BRIGITTE BORJA DE MOZOTA
 




Currently Director of Research at Parsons Paris School of Art & Design, Brigitte Borja de Mozota is also an Assistant Professor at Université Paris Ouest Défense, and continues to teach Design Management at ESSEC, AUDENCIA. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and has been supervising PhD researchers in Design Management since 2000.

After starting her career with the Au Printemps department store as a buyer, she went on to set up a design imports company. In 1990, she wrote "Design Management", which has been regularly updated since this date and is now translated into ten languages. She became a founding member of the European Academy of Design (EAD) in 1993 and was in charge of research for DMI (Design Management Institute) between 1994 and 2004. She was nominated DMI Life Fellow in 2004. An active member of the design community, she participates on editorial boards of design research journals, is a Design expert for OAMI (European office for Trademarks and Designs) and a jury member of the European Design Management award (DME).
