Jacques Lange was President (2005-2007) of the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (Icograda). He is an honourary board member of the South African Graphic Design Council (think), steering committee member of the SABS Design Institute’s Design Achievers Awards, advisory committee member of the academic journal, Image & Text and a director of the Icograda Foundation. In addition, he is an advisor to various governmental, education and non-governmental institutions.

Jacques Lange qualified with a degree in Information Design from the University of Pretoria after which he gained professional experience in the theatre and television industries before joining the visual communication consultancy Bluprint Design in 1990 where he is partner and creative director. Throughout his career, he has actively engaged in the fields of design practice, profession management, education, design promotion and policy advocacy.
